富士山 / Mt. Fuji

わが国の最高峰にして、日本を象徴する名山。
標高3,776ｍは、世界的にみて特筆すべき高さではないが、
いずれの山系にも属しない独立峰であり、大きく裾野を広げた雄大かつ優美な
姿を有することから、世界的に有名な山となっている。
他方で、約300年前を最後に噴火してはいないものの、現在に至るまで活動が観測されている活火山でもある。

岩手県西磐井郡平泉町の中尊寺にある仏堂。
奥州藤原氏が天治元年(１１２４年)に建立した。
金色堂は名の通り内外ともにすべて金箔を貼って仕上げられている。
金色堂の中には奥州藤原氏３代のミイラが安置されていた。
今では、国宝にも指定され世界遺産に登録しようと県が一丸となっている。

Konjikidou is the main structure of Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi of Iwate Prefecture.
Oushu Hujiwarashi, the powerful family of there built it in 1124.
Konjikidou means "Golden Temple", and its wall is gilt with gold foil as its name.
There were mummys of Oushu Hujiwarashi family.

モネの庭 / Monet's Garden

「モネの庭」は、2004年に静岡県浜松市で開かれた花の国際博覧会のために設けられた花園です。
その名の通り印象派の画家クロード・モネがフランスのジヴェルニーに設けた庭園を再現しています。
現在は博覧会の会場は浜名湖ガーデンパークとして無料開放しており、気軽に訪れることができます。
もし春から夏にかけて日本を訪れることがあれば立ち寄ってみてください。名画「睡蓮」のように池に睡蓮の花が咲き誇る風景を目にすることができます。
